Multi-Year Partnership with method Launches!

Simply the Basics takes a lot of pride in our impact being built around partnerships – on working together to achieve our goals rather than in isolation. Since our founding, our services work by developing partnerships with existing nonprofit organizations and social services to reach more people in need of access to hygiene care – in this way, we reach more people more effectively, efficiently, and where they are at.

 

When we develop partnerships, we explore not only the services available, but also the values of the organization. Quality control, services with dignity and respect, and putting choice above convenience are all incredibly important values to Simply the Basics, ones that we ensure matches each partner we accept.

 

When we provide hygiene to organizations, we are not “donors” of the organizations, but “partners” that share a goal to improve health and wellness through greater access to hygiene. (Learn more about our Partnerships HERE)

 

So when method reached out regarding a possible partnership, we knew it would be important to ensure that our values and goals aligned. After several months of team meetings and discussions, it was very clear to us that method not only shared our goals of ensuring that everyone has greater access to quality products, but also shares our values in putting impact above profit and the people we serve above all else.

 

We are very proud to announce our partnership with method, launched officially today but with many months of progress already! In the last year, method has supported Simply the Basics by hosting company wide volunteer days, presentations by Simply the Basics staff on hygiene health and equity, and most significantly – helping us to support the launch of the Simply the Basics Hygiene Bank Association™!

 

The Simply the Basics’ Hygiene Bank Association (or HBA) is the FIRST system in the world to establish Quality Control Standards for hygiene bank distribution services, to connect existing hygiene banks to one another, and provide the tools needed to be successful in equitably improving public health through hygiene access.  The HBA is a Membership Platform for eligible hygiene services to strengthen their programs, improve operations, and further their impact on health and wellness.

 

The entire platform is made possible through the founding partnership with method. With method’s longstanding history of changing the way the world thinks about cleaning and their commitment to creating high-quality products, the brand is an ideal fit to help advance this innovative network to make hygiene products more consistently available to all and to help everyone be part of the solution.

 

To further raise awareness around this unspoken problem, method worked with Simply the Basics to develop an engaging educational game featured on the method website that challenges users to “burst their bubble” on their hygiene insecurity knowledge. Users are rewarded for educating themselves with a promo code to use on method products!

 

Additionally, method is using its expansive portfolio of high-quality personal and home care products that address the full spectrum of hygiene and cleaning needs by providing quarterly product support to Simply the Basics’ grant program, which aids newly formed and growing Hygiene Bank Association Members. The Simply the Basics HBA will award grants to qualifying hygiene banks across the country, primarily focusing on areas with limited access to hygiene or other social services and providing support to early-stage hygiene banks that would otherwise have limited resourcing.

 

This is only just the beginning of a multi-year partnership, and we hope you will follow along to see all that can be achieved when companies and organizations with shared values work together!
